Dubai : Viacom’s Paramount Pictures is lending its name to a group of investors building as many as 50 Hollywood- and California-themed luxury hotels worldwide.

“It’s not like we are trying to develop something that looks like Planet Hollywood or Hard Rock Hotel,” Van Vliet said.
“It will be a more subtle and creative adaptation of the Hollywood element into the concept.”

The CSI average price has been calculated by taking the real prices paid by guests for a Club Sandwich in 30 global cities. In total, Hotels.com surveyed the Club Sandwich prices in a total of 750 hotels across the five, four and three star category across 26 countries.
In the French capital, the CSI showed prices ranged from an extraordinary $53 for a ‘Club’ in a five-star hotel to a more reasonable $22 in a two-star establishment with the average cost of a ‘Club’ in Paris coming in at $32. The second most expensive city was found to be the Swiss city Geneva, where the sandwich costs an average of $32, followed closely by $30 for a ‘Club’ in Oslo, Norway.
Sydney, Australia, took eighth position with an average ‘Club’ coming in at over $19.
Katherine Birch, Director of Marketing, Hotels.com Australia and New Zealand, said: “When planning a trip away, many holidaymakers don’t always factor the everyday costs of items including food and drink into their decision-making process. By providing people with a Club Sandwich Index, it is the perfect way for holidaymakers to assess a destination’s real cost!
“Paris may well be the gastronomic capital of the world but at an average $32 per Club, it may be better sticking to a croque-monsieur.”
